For the fastest and most efficient way to improve your child’s confidence and swimming ability, Learn to Swim FAST TRACK intensive courses or Squad clinics are by far the most effective.
The continuity of swimming each day for extended periods provides amazing physical and neuromuscular progress and stroke/fitness development that otherwise would take several months to achieve by swimming just once or twice each week.
We believe a one week block (5 days) intensive course gives equivalent or better results for children’s swimming development than one term of lessons attending once per week.
Holiday swimming gives the coaches the opportunity to explore some different, unconventional fun and interesting drills and activities that otherwise cannot be done during the regular term time classes and squads. Ultimately this provides more fun and productive lessons achieving outstanding results. It also demonstrates an enjoyable and challenging way for children to improve their swimming.
Many of our Squad Holiday Clinics involve land training and are specifically designed for technical and stroke rhythm improvement.
FIN SWIM SQUAD is combined with our High school squad currently, to encourage children 10 years and over to continue swimming for fitness and development. A number of the main sets will be executed with fins on and the swimmers will also be encouraged to prepare for FIN SWIM RACING, which is a new world-wide phenomenon and a fun addition to traditional swim training.
Starting from Term 2 2018, it is possible to learn fin swimming in Georgie Parkes Swim School.
Fin swimming is ideal for children 10 years and over.
